We are Gino and Duane, and we are the proud owners of Cholo's Kitchen, Peruvian Cafe. Gino comes from Tumbes, Peru. It is the northernmost and most equitorial region of Peru. It's the kind of place where the Jasmine sents the air all night, and you pick your own mango for breakfast in the front yard. Tumbes is known in Peru for its abundantly fresh seafood, wildlife rich mangroves and year-round beaches. In fact, Gino owned a restaurant on the beach there a decade ago, which he has recreated here in Westchester. He is happy to present Northern Peruvian style dining, with its unique history and style, to all the people of Southern Westchester. Ninty percent of what you see inside and outside the restaurant is Gino's vision.
